Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Properties of Laminated CuAl Composites Processed by Accumulative Roll-Bonding and Annealing

چکیده
Nanostructured Cu-/Al-laminated composites were processed by accumulative roll-bonding (ARB) technique for four cycles. Microstructural evolutions inside the Cu and Al layers interfacial reactions revealed after annealing at different temperatures. Recovery recrystallization occurred in low temperatures, three kinds of intermetallic compounds formed near interfaces. The mechanical properties these investigated tensile tests, variation strength–ductility synergy was comprehensively discussed considering roles constituent compounds.

Computational evaluation of the homogeneity of composites processed by accumulative roll bonding (ARB)
A new computational method based on MATLAB was used to study the effect of different parameters on the homogeneity of composites produced by a severe plastic deformation technique known as accumulative roll bonding. For a higher number of passes, the degree of particle agglomeration and clustering decreased, and an appreciable homogeneity was obtained in both longitudinal and transverse directi...

Ultrafine grained sheets were prepared from a twin-roll cast AA8006 aluminium alloy using accumulative roll-bonding process at room temperature. The evolution of microstructure of sheets after three accumulative roll-bonding passes during isochronal annealing with a constant step of 20 °C/20 min was studied by light and electron microscopy. The influence of the resulting microstructure on mecha...
